Recently, a social practice activity organized by Xinhua Bookstore with the theme of "The Birth of a Book" came to our printing factory to experience and understand the printing and binding process of books up close.
The "Birth of a Book" social practice activity is an extracurricular practice activity organized by Xinhua Bookstore and aimed at young people. Through activities, young people can learn about books from various aspects such as writing, publishing, printing, and distribution, improve their quality education, and enrich their extracurricular cultural life.
The birth of a book
Firstly, the teacher from Xinhua Bookstore passionately explained to the students the knowledge of book editing process, manuscript proofreading, publishing and printing. During this period, interactive games were also conducted for students to proofread manuscripts, aiming to help them understand the importance of proofreading.
Manager Jia Ru of the company's printing department explained the safety precautions for visiting the factory to the students and led them to visit the factory according to the established route.
During the process, Manager Jia Ru led his classmates to give a detailed introduction to the factory's two-color offset printing machine, four-color offset printing machine, machine knife operation, folding machine, and glue nail machine. He vividly explained the entire process of printing, folding, binding, and finally packaging a book on a blank sheet of paper. And, let the students feel up close the operation of the printing equipment and the birth of the next book.
Event Message
After the visit, Manager Jiaru and the students had an interactive Q&A session on the equipment and processes explained during the visit. The students were able to clearly remember the professional printing equipment and terminology such as Heidelberg offset printing machines, folding machines, and saddle nails. Through this social practice activity, students learned about the entire printing process of "The Birth of a Book" and gained a lot of memories.
This event is the first time that our factory has undertaken a social visit and exchange activity. For visitors, it is an opportunity to broaden their horizons and experience the joy of the manufacturing process.
