At the 48th World Heritage Conference held in Busan, South Korea, the "Jingdezhen Handmade Porcelain Relics" declared by China passed the review and was officially included in the The World Heritage List, becoming the 61st World Heritage of China. This is the world's first world heritage with the theme of "porcelain", filling the gap of ceramic industry heritage in the The World Heritage List.
From the 10th century to the 19th century, the kiln fires in Jingdezhen burned for a whole thousand years. The "Jingdezhen Handmade Porcelain Industry Relics" successfully applied for World Heritage this time cover five major areas: the town's porcelain production center, the Hutian ancient porcelain kiln site, the Gaoling porcelain clay mine site, the Changling porcelain stone mine site, and the Jiaotan kiln diesel fuel production area, with a total of 15 sets of constituent elements and 45 heritage sites. A complete handmade porcelain industry chain, from raw material extraction and fuel supply to production and burning, water and land transportation, has been presented to the world through time.
