1、 Product parameters
（1） Material
The material selection for
customized pens is diverse, and different components can use different materials. Common materials for
pen holders include metal (such as aluminum alloy, stainless steel), plastic (such as ABS, PP, PC), and wood. The metal pen holder has excellent texture, is sturdy and durable, suitable for high-end customization; Plastic materials have low cost, diverse colors, strong plasticity, and are commonly used as advertising pens; Wooden pen holders are natural and environmentally friendly, with unique textures and charm, suitable for personalized customization. The pen tip material is mostly stainless steel or tungsten steel, and the stainless steel pen tip has moderate smoothness and affordable price; Tungsten steel pen tips have high hardness and good wear resistance, making writing more durable. The material of ink cartridges or refills is usually plastic, and the internal ink can be oily, water-based, or neutral. Oily ink writes smoothly but is not easily dried up, water-based ink dries up easily and is suitable for shorthand, and neutral ink combines the advantages of both.
（2） Specification and size
Multiple specifications can be customized according to customer needs, with common size ranges as follows:

The size error is strictly controlled within ± 0.3mm to ensure comfortable grip and overall aesthetics of the pen.
（3） Color
The color of the pen holder can be customized according to customer needs, using methods such as painting, electroplating, or injection molding coloring. Spray paint comes in a variety of colors and can be adjusted to create various Pantone color codes; Electroplating can present metallic texture colors such as gold, silver, bronze, etc; Injection molding coloring ensures uniform color and is not easily faded. The color of the pen tip is mostly silver or gold, which matches the color of the pen holder.
（4） Printing/Carving Parameters
Printing/engraving methods: including screen printing, pad printing, laser engraving, etc. Screen printing is suitable for large-area printing on a flat surface of the pen holder, with bright colors; Transfer printing can print on irregular pen holder surfaces with fine patterns; Laser engraving can form permanent marks on materials such as metal and plastic, with clear pattern lines and high-quality texture.
• Printing/engraving content: customizable text logo、 The minimum font size for patterns is 2, and the minimum line width for patterns is 0.1mm to ensure clear and distinguishable content.
Accuracy: The printing pattern overlay error shall not exceed 0.1mm, and the laser engraving depth error shall be controlled within ± 0.05mm.
（5） Writing performance
• Writing line width: According to the thickness of the pen tip, writing line width can be divided into common specifications such as 0.38mm, 0.5mm, 0.7mm, 1.0mm, etc., to meet different writing needs.
• Smoothness: No stuttering or scratching during writing, smooth contact between pen tip and paper, and even ink output.
Drying speed: Water based ink usually dries within 1-3 seconds, neutral ink dries within 3-5 seconds, and oil-based ink has a relatively longer drying time of about 5-10 seconds.
（6） Corrosion resistance
After surface treatment (such as electroplating and painting), the metal pen holder has a certain degree of corrosion resistance and is not easy to rust in daily use. It can withstand slight sweat and rain erosion; Plastic pen holders have good corrosion resistance and are not easily corroded by general chemicals, but it is necessary to avoid prolonged contact with highly corrosive liquids.
2、 Production process
（1） Design sampling
Based on the design requirements provided by the client, including logo, text, color matching, etc., the designers will conduct professional design. Based on the specifications and dimensions of the pen, arrange the printing or carving content reasonably to ensure overall aesthetics and coordination. After the design is completed, a digital sample will be made for customer confirmation. Once the customer is satisfied, a physical sample will be made and confirmed to be correct before entering the mass production process.
（2） Raw material procurement and inspection
Purchase raw materials and related accessories (such as ink and paint) for pen holders, pen tips, ink cartridges, pen caps, etc. according to the determined materials and specifications. Strictly inspect raw materials, checking the purity of metal materials, the toughness and environmental friendliness of plastic materials, the hardness and smoothness of pen tips, etc., to ensure that the quality of raw materials meets standards.
（3） Pen holder processing
Metal pen holder: Using cutting, stamping, lathe processing and other processes, the metal raw materials are processed into the desired pen holder shape and size, and then surface polished to remove burrs and defects.
Plastic pen holder: Through injection molding process, molten plastic is injected into the pen holder mold, cooled and demolded to obtain a preliminary pen holder, which is then trimmed.
Wooden pen holder: Select high-quality wood, go through cutting, polishing, and other processes to make the pen holder prototype, and then undergo anti-corrosion and moisture-proof treatment.
（4） Surface treatment
Metal pen holder: electroplated or painted according to design requirements. During electroplating, place the pen holder in the electroplating solution and form a metal coating on the surface through electrolysis; Automated spray painting equipment is used for painting, evenly spraying on the surface of the pen holder, and then drying and curing.
Plastic pen holder: can be treated with injection molding coloring or spray painting. Injection molding coloring adds color masterbatch when the raw material melts, making the pen holder present the desired color; Spray painting treatment is similar to metal pen holders.
Wooden pen holder: can be coated with varnish or wood wax oil, which can protect the wood and highlight its natural texture.
（5） Printing/Carving
Process the surface treated pen holder according to the selected printing or engraving method. When screen printing and transfer printing, adjust the parameters of the printing equipment, print the pattern or text on the pen holder, and then dry it; Laser engraving uses laser equipment to engrave on the surface of the pen holder according to the design pattern, forming permanent marks.
（6） Component assembly
Assemble the pen tip, ink cartridge (or pen core), cap, and other components with the pen holder. During the assembly process, ensure that all components are firmly connected, the pen tip is installed correctly, the pen cap and handle are tightly matched, and the opening and closing are smooth. For styles with replaceable pen refills, it is important to ensure easy replacement of the pen refills.
（7） Quality inspection
Conduct comprehensive quality inspection on the assembled custom pens, including dimensional accuracy, appearance quality (color uniformity, printing/engraving clarity, surface smoothness), writing performance (smoothness, ink uniformity), component connection strength, etc. Qualified products are packaged, while unqualified products are reworked or scrapped.
（8） Packaging and warehousing
We use packaging methods such as paper boxes, plastic bags, or gift boxes, and can customize packaging printing according to customer needs. Store the packaged custom pens in a ventilated and dry warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature and humidity environments. Choose the appropriate transportation method when shipping to ensure that the product is not damaged during transportation and safely delivered to the customer's hands.
